Quality of construction is supreme. But what justifies the price is the versatility.

I really like this sling. As a hunter, I use it for my long rifle. Love that it keeps it snug when hiking long distances to my deer stand. Easy manipulation to bear it forward while hiking. No more rifle falling off my shoulder while walking and no more squeaking either. Snug and quiet, just the way a sling a should be.

No other sling on the market like this, quality material and for me, smooth as glass handling!

It's a whole lot of sling. When it 2 point mode,on the 7in handguard, it gets cluttered. But I does allow you to hold it tight to the chest or back and have your hands free. When you release it from 2point to single point it is a great single point sling and if you have to drop the rifle, on me, it falls to the right and not the center of the body. Love the sling but would not put it on anything shorter than a 10in handguard again.

The only thing missing is a pad, other than that it’s a great sling.

I just got the sling a couple days ago and so far am getting used to it. I like the concept and will work to get comfortable with it. The only real negative I may have with it is the paint that’s on the front clasp. As I said I’ve only had it a short time and the paint is easily scratching off the clasp. I would think that for the cost it would be anodized or at least powder coated instead of cheap paint. Functionally it’s great but just wish the clasp wasn’t already losing the color.

The sling is very good. Quick shipping also. I have recommended the sling to friends.

THE BEST sling I've ever used.
The ONLY downfall I can find is actually one I could be blamed for. Being a southpaw shooter but using standard right hand setup rifles to access more readily available parts, I have configured my rifle to suit me and my goofy handed shooting style. Doing so however places the sling strap nearly directly over the ejection port/ dust cover while the 2nd attachment point is connected. Mind you, during "normal" operation of the sling, this wouldn't be an issue whatsoever. However, if you are like me and set up your rifles in a similar fashion, you may want to be sure that you DO NOT connect your forward attachment point when the rifle is not in use but intended to be in a state of readiness, as failure to disconnect the forward attachment may interfere with proper function.

In my fifties. I've tried every sling that's come along. Have a whole box full. A few are ok, most are adequate or lousy. This sling is absolutely amazing. Best design I've ever seen. I own several. You won't be disappointed

Tried to use on my ar pistol, just didn’t work. Put one on each of my full size ar’s and works fantastic.

Great product. It would be quite helpful if you included a sheet that provided guidance on how to properly adjust it, or a link to a video that demonstrates proper adjustment. Designing a quick strap adjustment capability would be a nice addition.

This is by far the best sling ever! I can’t say it’s the last sling I’ll ever buy but I will say it’s the only brand I’ll ever buy again. I needed this before I knew it existed and wouldn’t change a thing about it. Absolute game changer!!

I love my Mclean sling. The sling is comfortable and well made. I will definitely buy another Mclean sling in the future. I'm extremely happy to buy a made in America product, invented buy a U.S. military soldier.

The concept of the quick detachment off the front of the rifle, converting the sling to single point, is my favorite feature of this sling. It's fast and easy when you get the hang of it.

If I HAD to find something to nit pick it's the H&K style spring clip. It's SUPER beefy, too beefy. I'm not sure it's necessary and it's strength surpasses the strap anyway. I use a buffer plate attachment point that is beefy too, 1/4 inch thick, and the 2 don't get along. That's not Mclean's fault, but if you have an attachment point that doesn't have a lot of room or is thick you'll have a little binding there.

McLean accommodates user options by making the clip easily replaceable with anything that would fit on a 1.5" strap. They didn't sew the strap so the clip is permanent. I hate that as you're either stuck with the clip style or the whole sling is garbage if you bend, break or damage the clip.

Overall I love the sling and recommend it to everyone!

Found this sling in a YouTube video and it made sense so I ordered one and it's awesome. It is as advertised and very well made.

It fits great and is exactly what I needed. I got rid of all my other slings. Great tactical sling!!

It's a bit of a puzzle since it comes with nothing showing or pointing you to how to rig it for use. I learned to look at it as two distinct loops and all of a sudden it made sense. So basically I adjusted one loop like a single point and the other like a two point.

The next issue for me was the connection with the QD hook. I started using a Magpul Paraloop in a QD mount. It hung up and was not a good solution. I happened on a video where someone had a QD sling loop attached to the QD limited rotation mount and yeah, that worked perfect.

The materials are top notch. The concept is too. I'd say its the best sling of its type you can get. It is definitely built for the more tactical side of use, I'd never hunt with it, but in a class, on a practice range, or if there is a SHTF event, it would be the only sling to grace my go to AR because I trust it.

Took me a few min to get it to how I want it but that was probably bc I’m an idiot. Once I got it down it’s perfect. Two point to single point along works flawlessly. Awesome product. Best sling in the game.

You can tell this was engineered through trial and experience. Very sensible, functional addition to complete a carbine setup.

I was a little unhappy with trying to attach the harness, for whatever reason my AR was missing some of the connection points that were needed, which is subsequently purchased. I think it would be helpful to add some direction to those who may be less knowledgeable about attaching a harness and give them pointers to insure they have the correct set before purchasing

Put this on my Desert Tech MDRx, and it is nearly perfect for this kind of Bullpup/SBR length rifle. If you have a need to carry a shorter length rifle but maintain both the ability to use your hands and the ability to rapidly engage this is a phenomenal sling. I believe McLean used to provide a version with a QD sling swivel in place of the HK style hook and that was a great idea. That version was not available when I bought mine, but I was happy to swap out the hook with a decent third party QD sling swivel. The quality of the sling is good, not great, but don't let that deter you; the quality is excellent where it needs to be and cheaper where quality is less important. That's ideal for most people who want the best deal for good quality, but may be a con for people who are obsessed with extreme quality throughout. That said, I am not aware of another sling that has anything like the rapid 2 point to 1 point functionality of the McLean DRS. Bottom line, this is an incredibly well thought out product with quality where it counts and functionality that no other sling offers. For me, it was the only sling on the market worth considering.

I have had the sling alittleniver a week now and it is the best sling it is very is to use and figure out ibhave never had a problem with it let go of the sling hook its comfortable enough to wear all day well definitely be buying one for all my rifles the only problem is they are always out of multicam which is the one I really wanted but they havnt had I stock for over a month

Great product!!! We use the McLean slings on all of our patrol rifles. I particularly like the easy transition from 2-point to single-point configuration. I have one on my personal Colt M4, as well.

Keeps your hands free to complete other tasks. Once you need the weapon it’s ready to go with a pull of the release.

This is a ingenious system! It works as well as the advertisement videos show. Now I need to put it through its paces. I find that it works best with an attachment point at the buffer tube rather than the butt stock. Smart design.

This is the sling I’ve been looking for. I love a single point sling for maneuverability and versatility. I hate a single point sling when it’s time to go hands on, that’s where a two point sling is best. The McLean DRS is the best of both worlds. In the few weeks I’ve had it (in training and real world ops), it’s already become my favorite sling. Other team members are asking me about it as they see it’s versatility and how it works. It’s constructed well and at this point I don’t think I’ll ever own a different sling.

All other slings pale in comparison, and McLean Corps USA deserves all the credit for revolutionizing the way we buy and use slings. I will never buy another company's sling again. It’s a great sling

Overall, I appreciate the sling and what it’s trying to do. Of course I like the versatility of the single to dual point feature; however, the best feature in my opinion is the “quick-to-shoot” feature with the controls being in the same spot near the non firing hand. In other words I’m not reaching forward and back to operate. Other than the McLean and SOB Tactical B-sling, none of the other mainstream slings do this well. The BF Vickers, VTAC, WOTG, and others are all quick to tighten. In my humble opinion, I’d rather loosen quick in a gunfight, than tighten quick.

If I had any constructive feedback it would be three things. First, it has too many routing buckles. Not sure if there a way to simplify it a bit. I actually ditched the middle routing buckle and it works the same. Second, I found it difficult to access my bolt release when I had the sling in two point mode. Third, the sling scratched my neck up and got caught up on my plate carrier. I would consider narrowing the width a bit and look at using materials with a little elasticity and give. Maybe hypalon?

Otherwise, I think this sling has lot of potential but for the time being, I consider it to be operated primarily in single point, with the option of going to dual point for functional tasks other than shooting.

I love this sling. Once I got it adjusted to my liking, It makes transitions super easy. My only real gripe would be that the front quick release hook doesn't appear to be steel. That said, I still plan on getting more for other setups.

I’m 6’4” and 200lbs. The sling is just barely (fully extended) able to make it around me. It’s easy to use and comfortable otherwise. Certainly makes carrying my rifle much easier and deployment much faster

I was looking for a new sling for my 300 Black Out. Was told about Mclean and thought Id give it a try for two reasons. American Made, Veteran Owned. I believe in the USA and appreciate our veterans. I am a retired LEO with many years on SWAT teams. I communicated with Mclean and purchased the retention sling. It is exactly what they said - and works perfectly. I only wish I had one when I was active because this thing would have been a game changer for clearing and handling suspects. I am referring them to all my still active LEO's and hope they give it a try. I will be ordering another one for my AR Rifle the first chance I can. Very well made and the ranger green color is spot on to Esstac mag pouches and my Stormrider gear range overbelt. I use this at the range and deer hunting as well on my 300 blackout pistol. I love how good I can cinch the gun down to my body while I'm talking or getting in and out of my stand. I'll buy another sling when I finish my AR-15 grendel build.

Very solid and durable construction. The sling is very fluid between movements and transitions it doesn’t require much effort at all. The release system is spot on and performs perfectly. Definitely a very good sling.

I like many things about this strap. It's versatility is unmatched. That said, I have a few asks:

I wish it was a little wider (for greater comfort)

Would've like the option of getting it with Mlock QD points

The clasp on the front looks like it could easily slip, though this never happened, so it's probably fine. The rear claps is a little thin and difficult to open.

It was very difficult to adjust. Once it is adjusted it works great, but it took a long time to figure it out. Maybe some instructions or a video tutorial.

I tried this sling at the NTOA conference. Took me a year to buy it, my own OCD issues. I have used this sling multiple times and absolutely can’t say enough great things.

The product took a little longer than anticipated to arrive but I understand that due to COVID-19 the shipping carrier might be a little delayed. Regardless of that as soon as I opened the package it was more than I was expecting, amazing quality, really strong and sturdy feel, also amazing feel and mobility with the weapon. I have bought five of your slings. Three for me and two as gifts. They are awesome and I would highly recommend them.

Luv it easy to use looking to get more for all my rifles.

I like the concept. However, when I roll the rifle to my back and tighten the strap, it will slip unless I push down on the retention cam. I can live with it but wasn't expecting this.

I have yet to put the sling through its paces, but so far it feels intuitive and very easy to use. It is definitely not the lightest sling out there, but it exudes of quality. The craftmanship is top notch and I expect it last a long time.

The only issue I ran into is that since it came from the US to Switzerland, I got taxed nearly 40% of the value of the sling itself. As much as I enjoy the feel and functionality of the DRS, I don't think I'll be purchasing a new one unless I find a european or swiss distributor.

Other than that, I would totally recommend the DRS as a retention and active shooter sling.

Great sling worth every penny

Takes a little getting use to the different positions you can use this in but wants you get the feel for it, it's really neat how it works and I can't believe how much I am enjoying learning to use it and it really is not that uncomfortable either, like I thought it would be.

I would recommend this to a family member or a friend.

I really love the sling, and works well even for my AUG and smaller frame. The ability to have it securely on my back without it being too loose and still be able to quickly get it out, is a godsend. It works as advertised, and works really well.

Pretty awesome sling! I’ve had it for about a year and haven’t had any issues. It’s comfortable and is operational even with full kit.

Since real guns aren't allowed in my country (the Netherlands). The closest thing we have to weapons is Airsoft. At firts I thought the McLean sling was overkill for Airsoft. But i made the decision and bought and let me tell you, even just for Airsoft the Mclean sling is a blessing. Especially if you play at large fields.

the DRS really is the best of both worlds. It allows for great close body retention when moving and/or needing to use both hands. It also allows for the freedom of movement and simplicity of a single point sling. It’s a great product, I’m glad I found it.

I play airsoft and only want the best gear and this is outstanding!
Though I may need to work at it to get it to feel comftable around my plate carrier and it gets caught but maybe how my vest is set up

Superb design and quality, the 2-point position let the firearm ride high on the chest and distribute the weight very well. Transition to single-point is fast and easy, it gives almost no restriction on that position but still helps you to retain the rifle should you ever let go the grip. Best of both worlds IMHO.

I tried out my new sling, first impressions are good actually I like this sling better than my magpul one. It feels more sturdy and it lets the gun ride high on you. So far so good but I’ll be using it more and more so we will see. Easy to use and I do like the quick disconnect to go from two point to single point and it doesn’t have all slack and play like others. I’m thinking I’ll be replacing my other sling soon

So this sling is everything I was hoping it would be. Having served in the U.S. Marine Corps I grew accustomed to how the sling would sit this gave me that and more to took all the bad parts and made it so much better. It makes the chest adjustment and weapon retention so easy. Where was this back in 2009?

Overall the concept of this sling is amazing and it functions great. Going from shored up to my chest or back to single sling point is awesome and easy. Shoring my gun up on my back is easy, clip back in, sling to back, reach over back grab strap and pull, tightens very easily. The one draw back I am having is when I want to shore it up to my chest real fast, maybe I just need more practice but pulling the strap to tighten the sling down from the front is a little harder to do, trying to get the right angle and leverage to tighten it is not as easy as over the back is. Its not a deal breaker by any means it just takes a little more care to get it to tighten down. I also wish there was maybe a little padding on the strap but again not a deal breaker at all and over all sling is still very comfortable.

I love it. The release sometimes will open when I have the rifle slung behind me and am moving a lot but that is no issue for me. Overall I have to say the best piece of gear I own.

I recently returned from an NTC rotation; this being the first real opportunity to test out my McLean DRS. It didn't take long for me to preach to my battles about how much I loved this sling! Super easy to use, and the freedom of maneuverability is second to none; especially as a dismounted RECON Scout as being able to move is an absolute must. I wanted to stop in and tell you in person at a recent sportsman show (Harrisburg, PA) but I saw you were overwhelmed with customers (good thing) and just gave you a quick shout out from across the way.

I will continue to try and unofficially market your product as I think that every soldier that requires the need for movement and quick weapon access should have this product!

Love the sling! Very easy to set up and use!

Being a big guy I wasn't sure if it would fit me. Needless to say, it fits and I love it.

I help manage 10000 acres. A large part of that is killing hogs. This sling makes it very easy to transfer from atv to killing hogs. It has been fantastic!

I love it and it was easy to used and fast also and better than any other sling I used with my guns

Best sling on the market! Completely frees up both arms for whatever I need them for while not engaging with a target with the piece of mind my weapon is safe and secure on my back. When a target presents itself I’m able to transition immediately and engage without fumbling or fighting with my equipment. It’s head and shoulders above the competition....just get one!
