Quick Detach Sling Mount Solutions – Picatinny Rail Mount with Swivel

A Picatinny rail sling mount that clamps to any Picatinny or Weaver-pattern rail section and gives you a quick detach sling point where there wasn't one. Supplied with a heavy duty quick detach swivel, so it works as a front or rear attachment point straight away.

Does your rifle have Picatinny rail?

Picatinny is easy to identify by eye: a flat-topped rail with evenly spaced slots running crosswise, and angled sides the clamp grips. If your handguard has that, this mount fits it.

Two things worth checking before you order:

• Rail on the right face. Many handguards carry a full-length top rail but only short rail sections at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock — or none at all. A sling wants a side or bottom position, not the top.
• Enough free rail. Lights, lasers and hand stops compete for the same real estate. Confirm you have clear slots where you actually want the sling to sit.

Where to mount it

For a two-point sling, further forward on the handguard gives a longer span between anchors: the rifle rides more level, swings less on the move, and sits flatter against your body. Mounting rearward shortens the span, which brings the gun up faster and tighter but lets more barrel hang past the front point so the muzzle rides lower.

One rule that matters more than position: keep the front and rear anchors on the same side of the rifle, or both on the centreline. No Picatinny rail? Other ways to add a QD point

• QD end plate with swivel — replaces the AR receiver end plate to add a rear socket.
• QD sling swivel on its own — if your gun already has a QD socket built into the rail, end plate or stock, this is all you need.

Frequently asked questions

Will this fit a Weaver rail?
Usually. Picatinny is the standardised pattern with consistent slot width and spacing; Weaver slots are narrower and spaced less consistently, so a Picatinny accessory often fits a Weaver rail but not always the reverse. Check that the clamp seats fully in a slot before loading it.

Does the swivel come with it?
This is supplied as a rail mount with a heavy duty quick detach swivel. If you need additional swivels for other guns or a second anchor, they are available separately.

Can I use it as the rear point instead of the front?
Yes, if you have rail at the rear. On most AR-pattern rifles the rear anchor is easier to solve with a QD end plate, since there is rarely rail back there.

Will it come loose under recoil?
Rail clamps are held by a cross-slot and clamping pressure, so a properly seated and tightened mount stays put. Check the fastener after the first range session, the same as you would with any rail-mounted accessory.

Does it work on a shotgun or a bolt gun?
Anywhere there is a Picatinny rail section, yes. Many shotguns and hunting rifles use sling swivel studs rather than rail, which need different hardware — check your model on the fitment pages.
